Our approach is centred around helping you work out where you are, where you want to get to and the best way of getting there. We have a deep understanding of the process of change.

Most change is not isolated.  It will involve other people, systems and processes.  merrell people will help you consider each aspect of change, including building the case for change and executing it effectively.

Our approach

merrell people has a range of experts it can call on depending on the nature of change you are looking to achieve.  All of our team use a combination of experience, passion and focus to achieve successful outcomes.  We are resilient.  It is one thing that our work in change has taught us.  Not everything goes to plan.  We are emotionally intelligent to prepare and respond to key moments, many of which are live.  We are experts in managing ourselves and those we are working with.

Here is how we approach change:

  1. Getting clear on the future state – what is the destination you have in mind and why?
  2. Describing the current state – what are you moving away from? What will you need to retain and give up?
  3. Measurement – future state outcomes, progress measures, audience measures
  4. Mapping – agreeing the plan and assessing commitment
  5. Taking action – implementing and adjusting the plan based on measurement of progress
  6. Evaluation – defining the stories and tangible outcomes that demonstrate change has happened

merrell people will be honest with you about what we think can be achieved.  Much of the good work is done up front when we scope out, contract and research what the current and future states are and what our role is.  Your evaluation criteria and methodology are defined at this point too.

Evaluation is owned by you.  It is the story of success you will tell.  merrell people can work with you to support the evaluation process, after all we have a vested interest in being able to tell good stories too!

We will use pragmatic design and delivery principles.  Change is uncomfortable.  Our intent is always to help you succeed so that you are smiling at the end.
